Minnesota Zoo Beastly Bash 2020
About The Beastly Bash
The Minnesota Zoo’s Beastly Bash is an annual event that helps the Zoo raise a majority of its budget for the upcoming year. It was held virtually for the first time in 2020, a year where Zoo attendance was shut down, it was particularly important to raise funds to be able to continue the care of the animals at the Zoo.
Project goal
Create a virtual “swag bag” for attendees of the virtual event who signed up for a free ticket, as well as some higher priced items that would be sent out to patrons who purchased a ticket.

VIP swag box overview
The VIP Swag Box was mailed to anyone who purchased a ticket to the event, which was otherwise free to attend this year. This box included a custom mailing label, limited edition puzzle, tiger face masks, five cards featuring artwork made by five of the animals at the Zoo, and a thank you card from this year’s Foundation Chair.
I worked on this project remotely, and was unable to document the physical work. Thank you Brenda Teats for posting this photo.
In line with the Zoo’s focus on education, each card and the puzzle box include information about the animals they feature, as well as further information about the Minnesota Zoo’s conservation efforts.
